Revision

While Annabelle napped this afternoon, Andre and I sat around musing on what we wish could be. We’d spent the day sharing the care of our precious baby and she’d nodded off in my arms. I managed to put her down without waking her, which meant we had a rare moment together to chat and have lunch — at the same time! Normally, one of us eats, while the other holds the baby (and vice-versa).

Here’s what we decided we wished for. We wish…

• That we were independently wealthy and were both able to stay home with Annabelle until she went to Kindergarten.
• Failing the above, we wish that we could just do it for a year. How great would that be?
• We wish to go to Russia.
• We wish for a tropical vacation.
• We wish for chocolate (oh, nevermind, that’s just me).
• We wish for ten hours of uninterrupted sleep.

Of the above, none seem possible in the near future. So, I’ve decided I’ll just have some chocolate.
