Three Days and Counting…
Article posted on Friday, March, 9th, 2007 at 8:39 pmThank goodness it is Friday! Tomorrow, barring some last-minute issues, Baby Boyd and her momma (me!) will be going home.
No more bouch (thanks Julie and Brendan for that word!) for Andre.
We’re all three doing really well. I have had some pain — mostly no big deal. However, this morning I woke up in agony. I’d been lying in bed, having had four straight hours of sleep (in which I didn’t move the entire time!), and I was thinking, “man! This is great, I don’t hurt at all.” That was 6 a.m. For fifteen minutes I was feeling really good, when all of a sudden I was walloped with the most excruciating pain. It was so bad I had to wake up Andre. I lay in bed knowing I had to get up, but suffering such pain that I thought it would be impossible. I kept saying, “Oh my gosh! I don’t know what to do. It hurts! It hurts! I don’t know what to do.”
I finally got up. And, Lord, did it hurt! But, generally speaking, the pain has not been so bad.
But enough about me…
Annabelle is simply adorable. She makes the funniest faces and does the cutest things. I am going to be posting some additional pictures later on, so be sure to check the Photo Albums.
Thanks to everyone who sent flowers, good wishes, prayers and blog comments. Andre and I appreciate it more than we can express. I was so scared as they wheeled me into the operating room on Wednesday. Knowing God, my family and friends were there, helped keep me calm.
More to come.
